FAQ

WHAT ARE THESE PIECES MADE OF:

It’s made from a form of acrylic. Pieces are hand cut, heated, layered, textured and hand sculpted.

I shape every piece around my own wrist, one by one, causing them to fit extremely comfortable.

There after, all pieces are hand painted with acrylic and metallic paint. I first apply a primer and black basecoat.

Then i use different size paint brushes to create different textures and shadows. Every color is at least 2-3 coats of paint, to get the colors to really “pop” and dance with vibrance.  I end with a teeny tiny paint brush that I painstakingly use to paint the mesh or animal texture, as well as the edges. If you look closely you will notice on some pieces fine lines around the edges…Yeah all done by hand baby!

ARE THEY FRAGILE, THEY SEEM FRAGILE?

Not as fragile as they seem. If they fall on the ground, they will not break or crack. It is a acrylic, so they are just very deceiving.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT GETS WET?

It has a polyurothane sealer over it, to protect against water, sweat, or moisture, so they will do fine. Simply wipe dry. Don’t swim with it for 5 hours, but if it gets wet, just simply wipe dry with a cloth.

THEY SEEM SO HEAVY AND MAYBE UNCOMFORTABLE, HOW DO THEY FEEL?

Well, that is probably one of the biggest surprises! These succers are so deceiving! It sure looks like metal or copper. However, they are soft, feel almost leather like, flexible and weigh less than 2 ounces, if you can imagine that! They are so comfortable and light, you almost don’t even feel them on! Another reason people come back for more. I have many older customers that love how they feel. They often tell me, they bruise easy and cannot wear metal cuffs, as they are so heavy and uncomfortable and move around…but boy they sure love these guys for that very reason!

ANY SPECIAL CARE?

The most important thing, they are made through heat. Therefor, they need air to breath! So, in the summer, do not leave them in a hot car with the windows up. It simply gets too hot. Anything can melt in the car in the summer, not to mention, you can actually die…well the same thing will happen to the bracelet. It could soften and change the shape. Wearing them in the heat is absolutely fine of course, but they need air to breath.

HOW DO I KNOW MY SIZE

Simply take a tape measure or measure band and measure your wrist. These pieces are not made to move around, just to sit comfortable around your wrist. You can leave a tiny little space for a little breathing room, or if you like more breathing room, a little more space. I will suggest in the summer, you may want a little more breathing room, as it may get hot and humid, so leave a little extra room in the summer. My wrist is a regular small, but down south its so hot and humid, i wear a size medium myself in the summer. Please note, if you get a really wide cuff, like 3 inches or wider, gladiator style,  measure your wrist at the largest part where the cuff bracelet will end, to make sure it feels comfortable all over.
